canapes
Canape and grazing packages start from $30pp for a basic Canape package - we can't be much more specific than that! Cost takes in to account whether you are serving over a meal time or between meals, how many people, type of event etc etc.
Staff costs are not included in per person price.
salmon rillette w fried parmesan polenta (gf)
Rillette is a method where meat is seasoned then submerged in fat and cooked slowly over the course of several hours. It's so good. Definitely "treat" food.
Mini Quiche Selection (gfo)
You may choose between;
Ham & Cheese
Spinach & Feta
Garlicky Mushroom.
“pillow” Sandwiches
(gfo,vo)
With the crusts cut off for your eating pleasure we make a sandwich like none
other! Sophie’s Fave Chicken Salad, or the (very impressive) Smoked Salmon with cucumber.
Pork & Apple Sausage Rolls (gfo)
A classic combination of pork and apple - THIS is a household favourite
Pork Rice Paper Rolls w Peanut Hoisin (gf, VO)
Chock full of Asian herbs and pork belly poached in a light Vietnamese style broth, served with a
hoisin peanut sauce.

Korean Fried Chicken “lollypops” (gf)
Fried chicken on a stick!
Avocado Bruschetta w Black Olive Crumbs (gfo, v)
We were going to delete this one and offer it as part of mixed bruschetta plate - but when you have a good photo of something, it can't be deleted.
Goats Cheese & Tomato Bruschetta
(v, gfo)
Visually striking and the perfect combination of slow baked, tart cherry tomatoes &
salty goats cheese w a basil leaf for POP!
Sydney Rock Oysters w Cucumber, Lime & Mint (gf)
seasonal
The cucumber, lime & mint is turned in to a granita - that's right - like a Slurpee, only waaaaaaaay more classy.
New England Crab Cakes (gf)
This is false advertising - these are actually Monbulk Crab Cakes. If we had to import the ingredients from New England, it would go against our sustainability and locally sourced ingredients policy.
Pork Picadillo Empanadas
(gfo, vo)
Richly spiced pork, potato, olives, and capers wrapped up in flaky puff pastry
Pumpkin & Gorgonzola Arancini (gf, v)
Crunchy on the outside, creamy in the middle with a pop of sweet/salty Gorgonzola in the middle. Each slightly un-spherical to prove they're made by hand, not a machine.
Snapper & Lemongrass Wonton
We have no idea how these taste because we're both celiac, but that's a good thing because it means we won't eat them before we serve them.
tomato & olive pizzette (gfo, v)
Like a teeny tiny pizza you can shove whole in to your mouth!
Itty Bitty Pies (gfo)
Our most requested item comes with multiple fillings in a “fun-size” pie:
Butter chicken
Thai Chicken
Chicken & Corn

salmon & avocado ceviche (gf)
SEASONAL
Ceviche is the famous South American dish with fresh fish "cooked" in lime juice. Served with fresh avocado - you won't be disapointed.
Steamed Pork, Prawn & Pistachio Dim Sim
Again, we can't eat this, but Sophie delights in frying up the excess filling and eating it over the still way too hot frying pan.
So order this for her.
Chickpea fritters w labne & pomegranate
(gf, v)
Totally moreish, these are soft and fluffy in the middle and crisp and crunchy on the outside
Grazing options
Grazing options nicely compliment canapes, especially if your event is over a meal time. Some are still "finger food" while others are served in a small bowl with either a spoon or fork so they are still appropriate for a "canape" style affair.
Sichuan Chicken Bao w Chilli Pickled Vege
Bao is a deliciously soft steamed bun - the perfect device in which to hold your sichuan chicken and pickled veg.
mini Tacos
(gf, vo)
Not that mini, just smaller than "normal", as to make it more snack size. Options:
Blackened Fish Taco
Pork Carnitas
Salt & Pepper Squid
Popcorn Chicken
Vegetarian
mini souvas
Grilled Lamb Souvlaki
w/ hummus, carrot tabouleh, fresh herbs & garlic yoghurt

Pomegranate Chicken Souvlaki
w/ hummus, carrot tabouleh, fresh herbs & garlic yoghurt
Mini burgers
(gfo)
ALWAYS extremely popular. As pictured.
Buttermilk Fried Chicken
BBQ bacon Cheeseburger
Smash Burger
fried gnocchi w sage butter and toasted walnuts (gf, v)
Like Gnocchi, but fried, and then doused in burnt butter and sage - a combination that has to be possibly the best "Collab" in history.
lamb shoulder tagine w beetroot labneh & carrot tabouleh (gf)
"I don't see any lamb in that picture?" you're probably saying. Well, don't worry, we put more effort in to getting our food right than making sure we have photos of it all.
confit mushrooms w butter bean puree, sweet & sour chilli jam
(gf, v)
Ottolenghi inspired - Mushrooms cooked out in aromatic oil full of flavour and then served with a light puree of butter beans with lemon.
**I give this dish a 3 star heat rating (it's warm and not for people who can't eat chilli, but would leave a chillli fan wanting more. (medium heat) The chilli oil can be removed or pushed aside.**
Vietnamese slaw w coconut poached chicken (gf, vo)
Fresh - so fresh! You'll love it -unless you hate coriander. In which case you'll have to have a word with the chef.
Korean braised brisket w rice sticks and shitake (gf)
Rich and nourishing, slow-cooked with shiitake, rice cakes & carrot. This "Stewup" as Soph likes to call it is heart-breakingly tender and full of B vitamins, zinc iron and magnesium, or as I like to call it Magneesy-yum!! Sticky and moreish, and made with our own bone broth.
sit down & eat
Mix a couple of meat dishes with a few salads and veg dishes and voila! you have a very successful dinner party/wedding/birthday/friday night.
2 Proteins.. $49pp / 3 Proteins..$55pp / 4 Proteins..$60pp
Price includes 3 salads & potatoes.
poached SALMON, cucumber scales, salsa verde
This is a sentence explaining how good poached salmon, cucumber and salsa is.
pulled LAMB SHOULDER, prune & pomegranate tagine
Full of Middle Eastern flavours, sweet, sour and oh, so lamb-y.
rare ROAST BEEF w horseradish creme
It really feels like there's nothing more to say than the title.
crispy-skinned PORK BELLY w apple sauce
Well... I think you've already got the info you need.
achiote rubbed GRILLED CHICKEN, bitter greens, gravy
Ah... here we go, this description can add value! Unlike the last 2 boring (but delicious) offerings.
Achiote paste is popular in Central American cuisines and is made with annatto seeds, cumin, pepper, coriander, oregano,
cloves, and garlic. It adds an earthy, somewhat sweet and spicy, slightly smokey flavor.
crispy POTATOES, confit garlic & rosemary
They're crispy, they're potatoes, and they're perfectly seasoned in confit garlic and rosemary. If you don't know what "confit" means - it means it's cooked in oil. Does that change things?
grilled vegie medley
(gf, v)
A colourful medley of grilled veggies including capsicum, red onion, butternut, and zucchini.

Chipotle Potato & Corn Salad
(gf, v)
Rich and creamy, and most of all served cool to beat the heat. A subtle kick from the chipotle ranch dressing with a textural wink from fresh shaved corn off the cob and roasted red onion for colour.
gfc's famous grain salad
(gf, v)
I took George's grain salad and got rid of all the awful gluten - it turns out it's a better salad. Textural lentils and grains, with the crunch of pepitas and almonds, and the sweet/sour pop of currants and apricots, served with a spiced yoghurt.
Roasted Carrots w Hummus, and Walnuts
(gf, v)
Roasted for so long I should charge by the hour! The long cooking transforms these orange nuggets, into a sweet, deeply flavoured experience. Paired with hummus and drizzled with honey and sprinkled with walnuts and coriander seeds.
Asparagus w Sauce Gribiche
(gf, v)
seasonal
Each and every Spring Morning you'll find me, knife, fork and salt shaker in hand, crisp white napkin tucked into my pyjama top, kneeling over the loose soil waiting for these tender green spears to poke their head out from their seasonal slumber, innocent of the gastronomic rapture that awaits them.
It plays hell with my employment prospects and is difficult to explain to the neighbours - but there you go, I've shared a secret.
Smashed Zucchini w Herbed Sour Cream (gf, v)
This grilled zucchini has traded it's bright colour for a soft and creamy, garlicky lemon flavour that walks merrily down the street of flavour town, hand in hand with rich, herby sour cream, topped with pine nuts.
sweets & treats
This section needs no explanation
Strawberry Cheesecake Cups (gf)
Crunchy GF crumbs beneath a strawberry cheesecake, topped with sweet strawberry syrup
Pistachio Cookie w Rose Butter-cream (gf)
A soft and chewey pistachio bikky with a swirl of rose buttercream on top.
macarons
(gf)
Sophie's half french, which means she's fiercely competitive when it comes to figuring out how to make something before Glen. Luckily for our customers, that means she's nailed macaron making. Available in really any flavour you desire, but here are some words to get you excited. Pistacchio & Rose, Strawberry & cream, MANGO....
eton mess
Who doesn't like meringue, fairy floss, parfait, coulis, fresh berries and edible flowers on a plate? Seriously, who? Naming and shaming is not beneath us.
Choc Blondie ‘Smores (gf)
Blondie on the bottom, chocolate ganache in the middle and toasted marshmallow on top.
lemon meringue pies
As pictured.
